| Customers shall be advised one day before insecticidal treatment, to remove all toys and other lightweight items from floors including under beds and in closets to ensure all areas can be thoroughly treated. HIT will also advise customers to thoroughly vacuum all infested areas before treatment and make arrangements for pets to be give a flea/tick bath at the time of treatment. Carpenter Ants: HIT will perform an extensive survey of an infested area in order to assess level of infestation and to find established nests. Evening surveying may be required since carpenter ants are normally nocturnal. Control may involve drilling of ¼” holes and power dusting infested wall voids and overhangs, crack and crevicing of infested areas around sidewalks and foundations of infested structures and around bases of trees and other areas, as required, to obtain control.
Fly Control: HIT will perform fly control which shall include, but not be limited to, identification of common dipterans, surveying designated to locations in order to assess the population levels of adult flies, searching for and recognition of potential fly breeding areas within and outside your areas and undertaking various fly control methods.
Residual Treatment:- HIT will apply, by painting and /or hand – held compressed sprayer, an insecticide to objects frequented by flies. These objects will include, but not be limited to, garbage rooms, trash drums, lugger boxes and latrines.
Maintain Rotting And Roasted Fish Fly Bait Stations:- HIT will service as schedules, fly bait stations by replacing rotting fish as required, maintaining appropriate water levels over the rotting fish, roasting fish on hot plates applying insecticides to fish at bait station, and when it was necessary applying a residual insecticide to the surface of designated bait stations.
Mosquito Control: HIT shall perform mosquito control which shall include, but not be limited to the following:
Recognition of larvae, pupae and adults.
Monitoring of mosquito light traps, using various other industry standard surveying techniques, within and outside your premises and conducting appropriate control methods.
Searching for unknowns mosquito breeding sites including, but not limited to standing water in low lying areas, in drums, tires and any other objects capable of collecting and holding water and taking appropriate action to eliminate, prevent or control an infestation.
Inspecting chronic mosquito breeding sites, culverts and/or valve boxes, as scheduled. If activity is found the infestation will be treated with diesel or other larvacide.
Rodent Control: HIT shall perform rodent control which will include but not be limited to identification of rodent activity, trapping, baiting and bait preparation plus all other aspects of rodent control with particular emphasis placed on safety considerations necessary to run a successful program.
Control Methodology: HIT shall control and survey for rodents primarily by trapping. HIT shall set rodent traps, remove carcasses, rebait and set new traps if needed.
When and where necessary, rodenticide bait poison shall be used in outdoor areas. These baits will be placed in such a way as to be least likely disturbed by children and pets.
HIT shall survey for rodents evidence in manholes. When rodent evidence is found, a rodenticide shall be attached to a wire and lowered into the manhole with the other end of the wire attached to the replaced manhole cover.
Lizard Control: Upon receipt of a complaint or request about existence of a lizard in a structure, shall make a reasonable attempt to capture and kill lizard or release it outdoors. And will furnish a report to the clients detailing any necessary proofing required to prevent future access of pests into a structure, or any exterior unsanitary conditions providing harborage for pests.
Snakes: Upon receipt of a complaint or request about existence of a snake, shall make a reasonable attempt to locate and capture or kill the snake. And will report to the clients about the complaint and whether or not a snake was sighted, sighted and capture/ killed or not seen.
Cat Control: HIT shall survey and respond to complaints or requests for capturing and extermination of untagged cats. All destroyed cats will be disposed in approved dump.
Horticultural and Turf Pest Control Service: HIT shall conduct survey of horticultural pests and perform horticultural, greenhouse, turf pest control general services which shall include, but not be limited to, identification and control of common tree, shrub and turf pests, such as snails, slugs and arthropod pests such as ants, beetles, crickets, lepidopterans, fleas, ticks, cockroaches, aphids, whiteflies, leaf miners, scorpions and all other pests, pesticide preparation and application, herbiciding and all other aspects of horticultural and turf pest control with particular emphasis placed on safety considerations necessary to run a successful program. All Pesticide applications will be according to manufacturer guidelines.
Garden/ Yard Services: HIT shall respond in a timely manner to all garden/ yard service requests and provide pest control and consulting services to customers as required. Pesticide application methods shall include, but not to be limited to, power and hand spraying of residuals, broadcast spreading of granules and hand spreading of baits. And shall ensure all children, pets, toys or other items are removed before any pesticide application and are not allowed to come into contact with a treated surface until it has completely dried.
HIT will seek occupant’s permission before entering their property. For occupant requested service, a notice of completion of treatment shall be placed on the occupant’s front door should they not be home.
Date Palms: HIT shall coordinate a survey of date palm trees for red palm weevil infestation and shall prepare survey and inspection form for red palm weevil, grass laws, trees and shrub pests.
Date palms shall be treated with either dormant oil or an insecticide emulsion, depending on pests to be controlled. Treatments shall include either the use of a suitable industry sufficient control material to thoroughly cover all tree fronds, or the use of a 25’ pool extension pole with a sprinkler head attachment so that the crowns of all date palms can be thoroughly drenched.
HIT shall control red date palm weevils in any trees found already infested by injecting a pesticide into any holes and crevices in the tree, and follow up treatments as needed later.
